Hayao Miyazaki Coming Out Of Retirement

The renowned anime creator has confirmed in a recent interview that he will be returning to Studio Ghibli once again to direct a new film.

This isn't the first time when Miyazaki has come out from his so called retirement to create a film. He first announced his retirement in the 90's but ever since then, he has made several comebacks whenever he found an inspiration to create a masterpiece.

It seems like Miyazaki has found another inspiration this time which will materialize into Studio Ghibli's next anime film titled One Final.

One Final Is Inspired By The Novel How Do You Live?

While Miyazaki has not shared much about the upcoming film One Final, we do know that it will be based on a 1937 novel titled How Do You Live? by Genzaburo Yoshino.

The story follows the life of a 15-year-old boy from Tokyo who is small for his age and mischievous in nature. After the death of his father, the young boy must confront inevitable and enormous change, including his own betrayal of his best friend. Over the course of the story, he wonders about the earth, heavens and human nature to answer the question of how he will live.

Since Hayao Miyazaki is known for liberating stories from their origins, we can expect the actual content of Studio Ghibli's One Final to be different then the novel.

Only time will tell how the film would pan out. For now, we are excited about Miyazaki's next adventure!
