Sucker Punch Builds New Motion Capture Studio For its New PS4 Game in Development
We know that Sucker Punch is working on a new PS4 game, and that intends to push its characters beyond what they achieved with in inFAMOUS Second Son and inFAMOUS First Light. Apparently this also means brand new equipment, as the studio has been building a new motion capture setup, as showcased on Twitter by Character and Cinematic Supervisor Billy Harper.
Yup, it just got real up in here @SuckerPunchProd #TrussMe ! pic.twitter.com/5la7fSqxXr

Day Two @SuckerPunchProd ! Just 12 little hex studs away from completion. Thanks @baueroftherick for chipping away! pic.twitter.com/XIOxcRhlFt — Billy Harper (@BillyHarper73) May 7, 2015
Harper confirmed that what we’re looking at is indeed a brand new motion capture setup, and also mentioned that the staff loves it, even if he doesn’t know if it’s one of the biggest rigs out there (but it definitely does look big):
@Tidux @SuckerPunchProd Not sure, but we love it. A programmer walked in today and said,”Well, now I feel like I work on a spaceship!”

It’ll definitely be interesting to see what the studio will achieve with the new equipment, and hopefully we’ll hear more about the nature of the new game soon.
