Grasshopper Manufacture’s Suda 51 teased that No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2 Desperate Struggle might be both getting remasters on PS4.

Suda 51 spoke about it in an interview with our Japanese comrades at Dengeki Online. When asked about whether he’s thinking about possible PS4 ports of past No More Heroes games, Suda 51 answered that he is “currently discussing it with Marvelous”, and how the discussions “are being positive”, so “an announcement regarding that might be coming soon.”

The rest of the interview mostly concerns the creation process behind Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Suda 51 mentioned how he was particularly influenced by Hotline Miami, and how many indie developers he met told him they were influenced by Killer 7 and the first No More Heroes. Taking this into account, Suda 51 thought it would be an interesting experience to “loopback” and create the indie-like side game Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.

No More Heroes 1 first launched on Wii in 2007. No More Heroes 2 Desperate Struggle released on Wii in 2010.

The latest game in the series, Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, is currently a Switch exclusive, but will also launch on PS4 and PC soon. You can read our review to learn more.

Meanwhile, Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda 51 also announced No More Heroes 3 during E3 2019. No More Heroes 3 will launch in 2020 and is a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
