From Tiny Tina's Wonderland's reveal to the showstopper of Elden Ring, here are some of the top 5 announcements.

Summer Game Fest: Kickoff 2021 streaming event has just finished but never fear, there's a lot more to come as the show goes on until 22 June. If you didn't get to see everything you had hoped for, there's still time yet as the exhibit promises to be a packed one.

During the stream, we saw plenty of exciting titles that included several world premiere game trailers and announcement hosted by The Game Awards' Geoff Keighley. As we wait for even more announcements throughout the upcoming E3 2021, here are the biggest announcements so far at the Summer Game Fest.

5. Back 4 Blood Gameplay Trailer Shows Off New Monster and Open Beta Date

Kicking off the Summer Game Fest Live Kick-Off, we got a taste of what else lays in wait for us with Turtle Rock's multiplayer action game, Back 4 Blood. Not only did we get to see a horrific new monster that you can witness in the trailer below, but we also learned that a beta for players who pre-order will go live on August 5-9.

For those who aren't too sure yet if they want to purcahse Back 4 Blood, an open beta will go live August 12-16 that's free for all. You can also check out our first impressions of the game right here.

4. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Will Arrive Early 2022

Borderlands fans got a special treat when Tiny Tina popped up on their screens during the event. Here we saw the popular character from the franchise get her very own stand-alone game called Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. The high-fantasy take on the looter-shooter won't arrive until early sometime next year but I'm sure we will hear lots about it in the meantime.

3. Metal Slug Tactics Revealed at Summer Games Fest

From developer Leikir Studio and publisher Dotemu, Metal Slug is making a return as a grid-based tactical roguelite RPG. With its high pixel art and dynamic, strategic combat, Metal Slug looks like it will be a lot of fun to play.

Although the game has no release date at present, you can view the trailer below to get a taste of what's to come.

2. Jurassic World Evolution 2 announced at 2021's Summer Game Fest Kickoff Live

Presented by none other than Jeff Goldblum - I mean really, who else could have done this? - Jurassic World Evolution 2 saw the light of day at the event. Developers Frontier is returning to the world of dinosaurs where they will build on the foundations set in the first game back in 2018.

No release date has been set but get ready for the title coming towards the end of this year.

1. Elden Ring receives its first gameplay trailer

At long last, the very long-awaited action RPG made in collaboration between FromSoftware and writer George R.R. Martin has finally shown signs of life and arose at the Summer Game Fest: Kickoff. Eager fans had been waiting for this announcement forever and were thankfully treated to a delicious gameplay trailer that you can watch below.

The title will be releasing at the start of next year on January 21, 2022.
