Since its release last fall, Sunset Overdrive was one of the most acclaimed new titles to come exclusively on Xbox One, and now for those that have yet to dive into the zany, wacky world of Sunset City, you’ll be able to do so at a low price starting today.
Microsoft announced that Sunset Overdrive will see a price cut to $39.99 starting today, April 1st – even though it’s April Fools’ Day, it seems to be no joke, as the game is already available at its new low price now on the Xbox Games Store for download, while other retailers have similarly been dropping the price down as well.
Alongside the price drop, those looking for more doses of Sunset Overdrive‘s energetic fun will also be getting the game’s latest DLC with the release of “Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines,” a new piece of story content that will be available today for either $9.99 individually, for free as part of the game’s Season Pass.
On a final note to cap off the new developments for Sunset Overdrive on an especially appropriate day, Insomniac Games will be celebrating April Fools’ Day by including a brand new achievement. Titled “Worst Job in the Kingdom,” the new Achievement challenges players to replay and complete the “Floating Garbage” mission in under 15 minutes, earning players a cool 200 Gamerscore and bringing Sunset Overdrive‘s total up to 1,925, nearly double what the original game started out with at launch.
