In a bit of a bizarre announcement, Konami has announced that month-old Nintendo Switch launch title, Super Bomberman R, would be getting free DLC. More surprising than the actual announcement is the fact it was done in a YouTube livesteam with little announcement or warning.

Featured last night on The Game Theorist's livestream of the game (below), Konami shared a 15 second video showcasing the new video. Among things mentioned, the new DLC will be free and will add both new characters and new stages:

As mentioned above, Super Bomberman R launched exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 3, 2017. Hopefully Konami will reveal more details and a launch date for the DLC in the near future
