On November 7th, 2010, Nintendo World Store in New York City hosted its grand reopening and celebrated the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. The newly remodeled store fit perfectly for the big celebration fit only for the game many of us grew to love, Super Mario Bros.

Here's a good question: Where is Mario Paint for Wii?

The new wall of Mario products from the past and present were at hand for all visitors of the Nintendo World Store to see. It is also a good way to teach all the youngins just who the heck Mario was before they were even born.

Fans were asked to record their confessions of their favorite Mario moments. What's the incentive? After you pour your heart out for all to see, you get a T-shirt!

World record holder for Super Mario Bros. speed running, Andrew Gardikis came through to the event to do a live run through of the game as quick as he could. He was able to pull off a successful run in under 6 minutes. He also got to show off his skills to Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto himself.

Everyone was fighting for the best shot of the cake cutting fun

The big moment eventually came when Super Mario's 25th anniversary cake was shared by none other than the genius behind Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto, and CEO of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime. They said it tasted pretty good.

It was a day for fans to enjoy some Mario cupcakes, play Mario games and take pictures with Mario himself. But now that it's over, it's on to bigger and better things. Before you know it, it's time to prepare for the 50th anniversary. Check out the rest of the pictures to see all the fun and festivities that took place.
