Super Mario 3D All-Stars was revealed to the world five days ago now. The collection of three of the best Mario games of all time, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy, was announced as part of Nintendo's Super Mario 35th Anniversary direct. Although only confirmed less than a week ago, the game is managing some incredibly impressive sales numbers.

The game is due for a limited release (until March 31 2020) in just a couple of weeks on September 18 and people are obviously clamouring to pre-order their copy. As noticed by Nintendo Life, within the five days since it was revealed, Super Mario 3D All-Stars has already climbed to 2nd place in online retailer Amazon's best selling games of 2020.

It now sits behind one of this year's biggest hits, and another Nintendo title, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and has already overtaken massive games that include The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima. Amazon's best sellers chart is dominated by Nintendo games with nine of the top 10 being Switch titles.

The potentially scarce nature of the game, combined with the fact it contains some of the best-loved games of all time, is clearly making Super Mario 3D All-Stars a must-have title.

While they haven't been remade from the ground up, leaving some disappointed, there are some clear graphical improvements in the three games. Super Mario 64 has been improved to run at 720p, with the other two games hitting 1080p when the console is docked. Nintendo also promises that they've been "optimised for a smooth gameplay experience on Nintendo Switch."

Alongside the graphical optimisations, Super Mario 3D All-Stars will have a music player mode that contains over 170 tracks that span all three games.

If you've not pre-ordered your copy yet, you have about a week and a half left as the game is releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on September 18.
