I may have run several news posts regarding some gaming-themed decorations and pieces of furniture, such as a Super Mario Bros. wreath that lights up, and the PlayStation-themed Pottery Barn Teen furniture. I didn't, however, expect to see a nine-minute video of Christmas lights playing out a Super Mario Bros. light show that is quite frankly, incredible.

I recall a more innocent time on the internet when every Christmas, online videos would surface showing off extraordinary light shows cleverly timed to the beat in a song. This year, thanks to FOX 4 News - Dallas-Fort Worth YouTube channel, we can see another fantastic method for increasing your electricity bill. If you have nine minutes to spare today, give the below video a watch of the homeowner's displays in Haltom City.

The video starts off with some Christmassy, yet retro-themed music as the lights play out some simple characters from Mario's universe, but if you wait for the beat to drop the garage door shows off an animated Mario dancing. At some point you see Toad doing the famed floss dance as well. As the video goes on it goes through different tracks and beats with more elaborate light sequences taking place, including a Yoshi conga line.

I'm not really hip enough to know if these songs are recent, or popular, but I have to assume that they are and the video is keeping with the trends while also boasting a retro-themed display. This house puts my Christmas candle in the window to shame.

As my pal Toad says, keep on flossing.
