While the next installment of the Super Smash Bros. series may still be some ways away until 2014, new characters and stages have been trickling in for the new title, and luckily a new one has been added to the mix from a classic Wii title.
Masahiro Sakurai, Game Director for the new Super Smash Bros. titles on Wii U and 3DS, confirmed in a post on Nintendo Miiverse that a new stage based on Super Mario Galaxy will be coming to the title, along with a screenshot of the stage. As mentioned in the original Miiverse post, the stage will also feature a unique gameplay twist based around Galaxy’s gravity-based gameplay, as Sakurai detailed, “The pull of gravity emanates from the center of the planet, so this will require using brand-new tactics.”
Presumably, this new stage will be coming to the Wii U version of the game, but stay tuned for more details.
The next Super Smash Bros. title will be releasing for Wii U and 3DS in 2014.
