From the recent Nintendo Direct that focused on Super Mario Maker 2, we have learned a lot about the upcoming sequel. What we did not hear about is any special editions for the game. Good news for everyone is that there are numerous different ones currently available to pre-order. The bad news though is that (as of right now) you can only get them exclusively through the Nintendo UK store.

There are three different editions that vary with different items. The first is the Super Mario Maker 2 Pack that comes with the game, the stylus and a pad and pencil. It is available on pre-order for £49.99 The second special edition, known as the Limited Edition Pack (Pad and Pencil) is the same as the first, but it comes additionally with a steelbook which in total sells for £59.99. Lastly is the Super Mario Maker 2 Limited Edition Pack (Diorama Set). It is the same as the other Limited Edition set, but it replaces the pad and pencil with a Mario themed diorama. The Diorama set sells for £69.99

Even if these special editions don't tickle your fancy you will still receive a year subscription of Nintendo Online which is a $20 value for free. Personally, I think these are cool editions that are reasonably priced. Also what is great about this is that anyone can really buy it because the Switch is region-free. Unfortunately, though, the Nintendo UK store does not ship outside of the United Kingdom so unless you know someone personally there that can get this for you, it may be tough to get.

Nevertheless, for those in the UK you will be receiving sweet collector editions for Super Mario Maker 2. Super Mario Maker 2 is set to release June 28 exclusively on Nintendo Switch and can be pre-ordered on Amazon right now.
