Today Nintendo hosted a public event at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan, in order to let Japanese gamers go hands-on with the Nintendo Switch. As part of the livestream, they also showcased some gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey.

Specifically, they demonstrated some of the moves that Mario can execute in the new games, in the following order: three-step jump, long jump, back flip, hip drop -> jump, tree climbing, body attack and hat throw.

Of course, you also get to see the new visuals of the game in the “New York” setting, even if no actual platforming was showcased.

Super Mario Odyssey will release this Holiday Season, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

If you want to see more, you can check out the first trailer that served as a reveal of the game, and the first batch of screenshots.
