Following the release of the Japanese overview trailer this morning, Nintendo of Europe launchedan English version that we can all understand.

This time around the trailer isn't narrated, but it simply lists the features of the game in written form, which is quite nice, given that it provides us with a good chance to enjoy the original audio, without having anyone talk on top of it.

We get to see the various words included in the game and Mario's new friend Cappy, which can be used in many way, including taking control of enemies to explore in ways that Mario himself cannot. It's even possible to let a friend control Cappy with the second Joy-Con.

We see how power moons let Mario power up the Odyssey airship, letting him travel further away.

The Crazy Cap Shop can be found in every region, and players can use regional coins to buy new caps and outfits.

Snapshot mode is basically a photo mode that freezes time and lets you adjust camera angle and add filters.

Plenty of minigames can also be found around the game's regions, and all have online leader boards.

Players can select regular mode or assist mode, in which arrows will show the way, and falling off platforms won't kill Mario.

You can check out the trailer below, and if you want to see even more, you can also enjoy some recent gameplay, a batch of screenshots and the upcoming Switch bundle, more gameplay, and one more clip.

Of course, you should also not forget to read our hands-on preview.

Super Mario Odyssey will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch in October 2017.
