Your thumbs no doubt still remember the platform brilliance/hell that was Super Meat Boy, but just in case your brain’s forgotten, Team Meat’s just released a massive new FREE update that’ll refresh your memory, for better or worse.

The update adds the “Super Meat World” portal to your game after you unlock 20 bandages, a world littered with custom levels from other users, dev teams, Team Meat themselves. It’s already pre-loaded with eight new chapters, bringing the level total to over 500.

If you haven’t yet purchased Super Meat Boy, and you’re looking for an actual challenge to your games, here’s your chance to finally buy the damned game. While it’s 50% off on Steam right now, even at $15 the game is a downright steal, especially now that it essentially has more than TWICE the amount of original content. It’s been a while since I’ve played the game, but I can’t wait to load up Steam and be welcomed by a million deaths within the first five minutes.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
