While the actual Major League Baseball season has yet to see its first pitch thrown thanks to the stupid coronavirus, the team at Metalhead Software is looking to scratch your sports itch with the upcoming launch of Super Mega Baseball 3.As of today, Metalhead has revealed that Super Mega Baseball 3 will now be arriving in just a few short weeks on May 13. Originally, the third entry in the SMB series was planned to arrive this month in April, but changes stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic forced Metalhead to push the game back by just a bit.Fortunately, the team behind Super Mega Baseball 3 used this additional development time to work on some much-requested features from fans. Metalhead says that a Super Mega Baseball 2 import tool will now be coming to SMB3 for free post-launch, meaning that you can now bring your teams over from the previous entry all the more easily.

Additionally, some new online gameplay features are said to now be in the cards, but Metalhead isn't divulging just yet what this new addition will be. More information about this component will be given before release, however. Keep an eye out in the coming days and weeks.

Super Mega Baseball 3 will be arriving on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC when it launches next month. In the meantime, a free demo/trial version of the game is available for play if you want to give it a shot prior to its official release date.
