Though traveling to a theme park isn't something that we'll likely to be able to do for some time, Nintendo is preparing the finishing touches on its long-awaited debut at Universal Studios Japan with Super Nintendo World. The Nintendo-themed amusement park will officially be open on February 4, 2021, and while it's unlikely that most of us will be able to check it out any time soon, you can get the next-best thing by experiencing the park virtually. The official website for Super Nintendo World has been updated with new details and an interactive map of the upcoming park, giving viewers a closer look at the Mario-themed experience. The site includes several clips of footage from the park in motion, giving an idea of what to expect once it opens to the public early next month.

Last month, Shigeru Miyamoto hosted a special Nintendo Direct focused on the new area of Universal Studios Japan, bringing viewers through several different areas of the park and its attractions themed around iconic locations from the Super Mario Bros. games. Notably, the park itself will utilize a special Power-Up Band that will let visitors interact with various objects and activities throughout the park, syncing to the park's mobile app. This should give anyone that ventures into the park a bit of an incentive to see everything it has to offer before they square up with some familiar faces at the very end of the experience.

Super Nintendo World will officially open at Universal Studios Japan on February 4, 2020.
