Bandai Namco held a new Super Robot Taisen stream on August 21. As usual the stream had specific corners for mobile games SRW DD and SRW X-Ω , and a toys corner. No new console game was announced, which is a good thing in my book.We had the usual people on stream: the comedy duo MC, seiyuu Kenji Akabane, and the producers: Takanobu Terada (Series producer), Hiroaki Oochi (SRW X-Ω), and Red / Akaii (SRW DD). Guests seiyuu were Yohei Azakami, Yuki Nagaku, and Midorikawa Hikaru. The first corner focused on SRW DD celebrating its first anniversary. The next Crossing Pilot event was announced, Masaki Andoh piloting Bilbine. We detailed all that in its specific article. You might have heard of Getter Noire too, revealed on the Mahjong stream earlier this month. It joined Cross Omega alongside Getter Robo High. Now, Getter Noire will be joining DD too as some point. One pretty cool moment was Greenriver playing with the Discutter toy they made for the Masaki x Bilbine event. He fooled around with iconic dialogue lines. You can catch that moment at the 36:00 timestamp:

Next up was the Cross Omega corner. The biggest news is how Josh and Rim, with Aile Chevalier and Blanche Neige, will be added to the game. Josh is voiced (Yuichi Nakamura) but Rim isn't. However, Rim has a new illustrated cutin, while Josh's illustration is recycled from Dai Ni Ji SRW OG and SRW OG Moon Dwellers. Gameplay footage with the siblings was shown on stream at the mark 1:13:19 mark:

Next up was the toys corner:

New Eva RG.

Hi Metal-R L-Gaim. Out now.

Soul of Chougokin, Black Wing, Dancougar.

Super Minipla, Tobikage Vol 2, out now.

Super Minipla, Tobikage Vol 3, will be Zerokage and Bakuryuu.

These are work in progress prototypes.

Super Minipla, Gear Fighter Dendoh. Scheduled for January 2021 release.

New dakimakura cover and mousepad for Ayame Amanomiya from SRW X-Ω.

The illustrations are by chara designer Wataru Watanabe. Bandai Namco asked Hobby Japan to make goods for Ayame following the Chatte figure, meaning she's one of the most popular characters of Cross Omega. Chitose Kisaragi, the female protagonist of SRW V, also got a Daki cover and a mousepad back in 2017:

Official SRW daki covers already released in the past, one for Excellen and one for Seolla, but they were tamer overall. Meanwhile, these are really lewd. So when these Chitose goods were revealed, some Japanese fans were angry about it, feeling they're desecrating the series instead of focusing on the games or the mecha. I personally don't really care either way as long as they keep making good games.

Cross-Omega as a whole as Wataru Watanabe going all out and uses very lewd illustrations, as it is the case with most mobile gacha games. It's much more risque than regular SRW which draws the line at sexy pilot suits and bouncing breasts animations. Other Cross Omega OG characters like Olive and Chatte already got daki covers too. It's likely more Cross-Omega OG characters will get similar goods in the long run, so it's best to get used to it now.

Finished version of the Chatte swimsuit figure.

The Chatte figure was shown off on multiple streams before. Those who preordered it will finally get it.

New figure announced, Chitose Kisaragi, OG female protagonist of Super Robot Taisen V.

Now that they're done with the Chatte figure, Chitose will be getting one too. No release estimate yet. The OG characters in Super Robot Taisen V were also designed by Wataru Watanabe.

As the stream ended, they announced the next Nama Suparobo Channel stream should be happening in October 2020. 2021 will be the 30th anniversary of SRW. As such, a new console game will definitely release that year. It might be announced on the October stream. The stream's date will be announced in a few weeks on Twitter.

Fun happenings and anecdotes on stream:

During the rehearsal, Yohei Azakami and Yuki Nagaku didn't get to see Greenriver. Since they were all in separate rooms. They looked for him but couldn't find him. So they just greeted him live through camera when he joined the stream. Greeting each other as seiyuu with a "ohayo" is pretty important.

Terada got to Bandai Namco for the stream on his bicycle. This is how he commutes these days. It's a 2 hours trip. He uses the trips to ponder on his work. He said he'll think about what to do for the Getter Noire trailer for SRW DD on his 2 hours trip back home. He's taking breaks needless to say, and isn't riding for 2 hours in one go.

Terada also wants to do a 4 hours stream only showing off toys. He doesn't know if it'll happen though.
