A new free DLC for Super Robot Wars 30 has been released, however, it also triggered a peculiar bug with Majestic Prince mecha unit Red Five, and several other issues.

On November 12, Bandai Namco announced a free DLC for Super Robot Wars 30 releasing on November 17, adding Gilliam Jaeger piloting his Gespenst.

Gilliam is a recurrent original character of the SRW series, who first appeared in Hero Senki, a crossover turn-based released on Super Famicom in 1992 with Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Gundam. Currently, Gilliam is a playable character in the Super Robot Wars OG series, which gathers original characters and protagonists of past Super Robot Wars games and past Banpresto games.

Gilliam Jaeger is voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka (the seiyuu of Donflamingo in One Piece to take a mainstream example). The BGM Hero Chronicle was also added to SRW 30. Several improvements, correction of some text, and a new 30th-anniversary map were also added with this free DLC.

Super Robot Wars 30 free DLC triggers bugs, don't download it for now

However, after the free DLC's release, "Red Five" has been trending on Twitter. Several Japanese SRW 30 fans horrifically realized the Red Five mecha has completely disappeared from their intermission screen. (Thanks, Inside)

In other words, while you can still deploy Izuru in Red Five, you cannot upgrade or customize his mech. Izuru himself is still on the Pilots List too and can still get his Skills upgraded.

Bandai Namco has acknowledged The Disappearance of Red Five and is looking into it. Besides the Red Five bug, other bugs have been reported, such as invisible text during save and quit skits.

Long story short, even if you're not a Majestic Prince fan, don't download the free DLC for now. You'll have to wait a few more hours to Call Gespenst with Gilliam.

SRW 30 DLC schedule
