Takanobu Terada explains new position as Super Robot Wars series supervisor

Terada will keep working on SRW OG

Takanobu Terada explained that he left B.B Studio in August 2021. After discussing it with the higher-ups at Bandai Namco, he decided to become freelance but will keep working on the Super Robot Wars series. Not as series producer, but now as "supervisor".

With that said, Terada stressed out that what he will be doing on the SRW series won't change much, and that he is not retiring. He worked on SRW 30, and will work on future games. In particular, Terada will keep being one of the main writers of the Super Robot Wars OG series in the future.

TeradaP opens his personal Twitter

Furthermore, Takanobu Terada now opened a personal Twitter account. He stressed out that with his "new" job, he is not in a position to answer questions related to the games. So you should direct these to Bandai Namco. Moreover, now that he's freelance, he plans to pursue other opportunities, so don't expect to only see SRW related stuff on his Twitter.

Later on at the end of the first part of the stream. Before the Shin SRW Let's Play part with Souichiro Morizumi, Terada implied that it's Morizumi who convinced him to go freelance.

The steam will keep going for several hours now with the Shin SRW part. You can find it below alongside the trailers. If time permits, I might update this story or make a new one with some of the fun comments shared by Terada and Morizumi. If you have a premium account, I recommend watching it on Niconico to follow the comments.

Update: Terada most notably explained one of the reason why he become freelance is that while he's not guaranteed to get jobs, he can also refuse certain jobs now.
