Bandai Namco announced the next Super Robot Wars series stream. It'll be held on February 18 at 21:00 JST (Click here for time conversions). You can watch it on YouTube and on Niconico. It's unlikely a new console game will be announced, but it'll be fun as always, with the reveal of new series in mobile game Super Robot Wars X-Ω (pronounced Cross Omega) and new info on Super Robot Wars DD.The stream will feature the usual people: the usual comedy duo, the Producers including Takanobu Terada, and the seiyuu Kenji Akabane. Two other seiyuu will also appear as guests: Yohei Azakami who voices SRW DD's protagonist (and the protagonist in Sakura Wars PS4), and Yuki Nagaku, who voices Meg in SRW DD.These SRW streams, titled the Nama Suparobo Channel, are monthly when a new console game was announced and about to release, but are a bit irregular when no new game was publicly announced. We're in the later situation right now, and the last stream wasn't in January but on December 12, 2019. That stream most notably revealed a new update for Super Robot Wars DD, adding a World 5 with a new Original character named Eunice Airy along with the first Crossing Pilot event: Amuro Ray in Mazinger Z. You can read more details here.As a side note, Eunice's character designer Keiji Yamamoto/Chou Niku shared an illustration of her after she was added to the game on December 26:

That's all you needed to know.

Now, if you wish to hear my Unneeded Opinion, while I believe the latest game, Super Robot Wars T, is amazing, it's nice that the series is taking a break, and I really hope we won't get a new game announcement on this stream either. The series has been following a schedule of one main game a year for six years since the release of Super Robot Wars Z3.1 on 2014. This is also the first time the SRW series is taking a break since its games have been officially available in English via Asian releases, starting Super Robot Wars OG The Moon Dwellers in 2016.

The three last main console games of the series are, in release order: Super Robot Wars V, Super Robot Wars X, and Super Robot Wars T.

SRW V and SRW X are available in English via the Asia versions on PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. However, the Steam Asia English versions are region-locked to Asia Steam. Super Robot Wars T is available in English via the Asia versions on PlayStation 4 and Switch. A Steam version wasn't announced yet, but the game sold really well so it's only a matter of time until it happens. If you'd like to get into the series, remember that all these three games are 100% standalone, like most Super Robot Wars games without a number in their titles. So it's fine to start with whichever one suits your taste in terms of mecha series.

We've been extensively covering Super Robot Wars streams on DualShockers, and this stream will be no different.
