Super Smash Bros has already started to explode on sales charts, with Nintendo reporting more than one million sales during the first two days in Japan.

This makes it one of four Nintendo games to surpass the 1 million milestone in less than two days.

Pokemon X/Y, Monster Hunter 4 and Yokai Watch 2 have also sold more than a million copies during the first few days of launch.

This milestone includes both retail and digital figures, Nintendo says.

Super Smash Bros for 3DS is set for release October 3 in the rest of the world, with a Wii U release rumoured for later this year.
