Fans of the long-running mascot fighting series Super Smash Bros. were in for a big treat during E3 2014 as Pac-Man was revealed as one of the new playable characters coming to the latest iteration of the series, and luckily 3DS owners will be getting a unique stage that shows off the best of the power pellet-gobbling hero.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS game director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that a new Pac-Man-themed stage will be coming to the 3DS version of the game based on the classic Pac-Man arcade original, complete with power pellets and the complete collection of Pac-Man‘s ghosts. In addition to the level’s loving recreation of the original Pac-Man, Sakurai also added that if players consume 100 power pellets within the level, they will then be able to consume the ghosts on the level , making them vulnerable and still able to damage other players, expect for you.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS releases on October 3rd, 2014 for the 3DS, followed by the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U in Holiday 2014.
