Super Smash Bros. for 3DS Will Support New Nintendo 3DS C-Stick, Not Circle Pad Pro on Older 3DS Models

October will be a smashin’ good time with the release of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, though it seems the game may have some added benefits on the upcoming New Nintendo 3DS that may not be accessible through the older 3DS models.

In a support page for the title on Nintendo of Japan’s website, it was confirmed that Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will make use of the newly-added C-Stick on the New Nintendo 3DS (presumably for performing Smash Attacks), but will not support the Circle Pad Pro on either the 3DS or 3DS XL. Instead, those players will be locked to the control schemes on those devices, while it seems the New Nintendo 3DS may benefit from some added control options with its extra stick and shoulder buttons.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS releases on October 3rd, 2014.
