Super Smash Bros. for Wii U May Be Ready to Brawl This November in Leaked Image

While Nintendo fans are waiting day and night for the release of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS in just a few weeks, no word has come through yet on when the expected release date will be for the Wii U version of the game, which still has the nebulous “Winter 2014” timeframe attached to its release – however, that may change soon thanks to a leaked image from Twitter.

A leaked photo of a reservation card from retailer Fred Meyer for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U may have revealed when fans can expect the home console Smash Bros. title to arrive, as the photo shows a release of November 21st, 2014 listed on the card.

Currently, Nintendo has not confirmed an official release date for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, other than its originally-announced launch window of “Winter 2014.” Though the November 21st date from the card is no official confirmation just yet, the release date mentioned does follow Nintendo’s tradition of releasing titles on Fridays or Sundays (November 21st being a Friday), and especially in putting the title right at the start of the holiday shopping season, putting it one week before this year’s Black Friday.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS releases on October 3rd, 2014, followed by the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U later in 2014.
