While the full roster for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has now been revealed with the arrivals of Ken and Incineroar, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that more characters will still be on their way after the launch of the game.
Yes, there will indeed be DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and it will include five new characters, stages, and music. Each of these bundles will release well after the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Sakurai said that it will likely take more than a year to release everything.
Each of these 5 packs will cost $5.99 on their own, though you can purchase them all for a lower cost. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter’s Pass is essentially the same thing as a season pass and it will give you access to all 5 post-launch bundles for a value of $24.99.
I think most people expected that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would continue to receive new content after launch, and it’s good to see that Nintendo will still be supporting it for a long while. Let’s just hope that one of the DLC characters is Banjo-Kazooie. Please, Phil Spencer.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is slated to launch on December 7, exclusively for Switch.
