In my mind, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is undoubtedly the best entry in the series as it appeals to both a casual and competitive community. However, you could say otherwise when it comes to Nintendo's eSports efforts with the game. But that's another article for another day.

While Super Smash Bros. Ultimate definitely delivers as a fighting game, its single-player offerings are surprisingly lackluster when compared to its wide variety of characters and stages to fight on. Now, I'm perfectly contempt with the game that we got, it wouldn't need any new additions to remain that way in my mind. But, content is definitely coming in full force to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 2019 through character DLC and updates. We already know that Persona 5's protagonist, Joker, will be making his Smash debut sometime in April.

During the last Nintendo DirectSmash Bros. Ultimate news was light but we were told more is coming in the game's 3.0 update.

Recently, some data miners may have revealed what that next update may include. For those that have stuck with the series for years, you'll be happy to hear that Home Run Contest and Super Smash Bros. Brawl's stage building mode, which was also included in Super Smash Bros. Wii U, may be making a return very soon. Some file names within the game allude to these modes, but as always, these things should be taken with a grain of salt. For more details, you can check out YouTuber Source Gaming's video on the files that were found below.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launched back in December exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
