Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Next Event Will Give You Double XP and SP to Level Up Spirits Quick

If you're looking to level up your Spirits quickly, don't worry: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has you covered with its Spirit Board event this coming weekend.

Since its debut last month, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has already climbed the charts as one of the Nintendo Switch’s bestselling titles, and one of 2018’s bestsellers at large. Of course, even a month out there is still plenty going on in the world of Smash Bros., as the game’s next event has been revealed and should appeal to anyone that happens to love Spirits and want to improve their favorites.

Nintendo has announced that the next event for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be tailored towards Spirits, as Double XP and SP (Spirit Points) will be available in Spirit Board battles for the upcoming weekend.

As Nintendo detailed, the event will run from January 10-13 and will allow players the chance to earn twice the amount of XP and SP that they normally would from taking on Spirit Challenges, giving a nice incentive if you were looking to level up any of your favorite Spirits that you’ve collected from World of Light or taking on Spirit Challenges.

Much like other Nintendo Switch titles such as Splatoon 2 and ARMS, Nintendo has been keen with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to keep players engaged with a variety of ongoing challenges after release in the form of weekly events. Specifically, some of the more recent events featured included one Spirit Event modeled after classic NES games, another based around Super Mario Party, and one featuring characters that wear glasses.

Likewise, if you’re looking to broaden your horizons with Smash Bros. after training up your Spirits and want to get a bit more into the competitive scene, you can check out our recent guide we put together breaking down the official tournament rulesets that have been making the rounds for the game’s pro level play.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now on Nintendo Switch. If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game, you can do that right now over on Amazon and start training up those Spirits. If you need more convincing on picking up the game, however, you can feel free to read our full review from its launch last month.
