We Get Our First In-Depth Look At Sephiroth in Smash Bros. Next Week
He may not be the Kingdom Hearts character you expected, but next week we'll get to see what we're getting with Sephiroth in Smash Bros.
During The Game Awards this week, we saw the big reveal of Final Fantasy VII’s Sephiroth being the next DLC character coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Sephiroth now joins Min Min from Arms and Steve & Alex from Minecraft in the game’s second Fighters Pass. Luckily, fans of the One-Winged Angel won’t have to wait too long to see what he’s all about. Next week the creative mastermind and director of Smash Bros., Masahiro Sakurai, will be having a presentation to show off the new fighter.
Sakurai’s showcases are always a big event for Smash Bros. fans and always give a very in-depth look at what can be expected of new additions to the roster. With many references to draw from as far as Sephiroth’s history in other games, there truly are plenty of options of what he could bring to the table as far as an impressive and extensive move list.
The one-winged angel, Sephiroth from the @FINALFANTASY series, joins #SmashBrosUltimate as a DLC fighter later this month! Tune in at 2pm PT on 12/17 for a presentation from director Masahiro Sakurai all about the DLC fighter, including the release date! pic.twitter.com/zRaZCSZkrn

Masahiro Sakurai’s Sephiroth presentation will be streamed on Thursday, December 17th at 5 pm ET/2 pm PT on the official Nintendo Youtube channel. We also won’t have to wait much longer after that because Sephiroth will be available sometime this month. It’s quite likely that we will get an exact date during the presentation. Or, even better, one of Nintendo’s famous on the spot drops.
