Sans is Now Officially in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (as a Mii Fighter Costume)
Sans is joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as an alternate fighter costume for the Mii Gunner.
Much to the request of fans around the world, Nintendo has now announced that Undertale’s Sans is now part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Well, sort of.
As part of the version 5.0 update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which will be rolling out tonight, it was confirmed that a new Mii Gunner outfit that looks like Sans will be available for purchase. In addition, a new arrangement of Megalovania from Undertale creator and composer Toby Fox will also be included in this costume pack.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai said that they heard the cries of fans asking for Sans to be included and wanted to accommodate the request in some way. He went on to also say that Toby Fox and himself also met in the past and that Fox came over to Sakurai’s home to play Smash. He said that Fox was actually quite good at the game, especially compared to some others he has also played with before.
The new Sans costume, along with the release of Banjo-Kazooie, will both be dropping later tonight when update 5.0 rolls out. As for the Mii Fighter costume specifically, it’ll set you back $0.75 if you want to pick it up.
