Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition Trailer Confirms Awesomeness

The new trailer for the upcoming fighter Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition for the Nintendo 3DS is loaded with details. A good amount of this stuff isn’t on consoles either. First of all, the new 3D view is absolutely amazing and will probably make console players jealous. The camera pans around the action, showing a fully 3D depth of field. If you prefer 2D view, you can keep it, even against people using 3D view.

A third player can view fights on their own 3DS and jump out without interrupting the game. That isn’t all that’s new though.  There is some figurine collecting aspect to the game. This element also features a multiplayer component, as illustrated in the trailer, but the exact function is a mystery if you can’t read Japanese.

But wait there’s more. You can also apparently search for an opponent in your vicinity (a guy finds an opponent on the same bus as him), aside from the online play. Oh yeah, a man in Japan playing a man in France suggests online multiplayer is intact. You can even play the game with touch controls. If you don’t think all this info is legit, then by all means hit the break to see the trailer. You should probably do that anyway. SSFIV:3DE will launch beside the Nintendo 3DS on February 26th in Japan.
