Today, developer SUPERHOT Team announced that SUPERHOT VR is coming to PlayStation VR sometime this summer.

SUPERHOT VR is SUPERHOT reimagined from the ground up for VR. Notably, the game, which includes the Forever Update, brings you 20 more hours of “intense, nerve wrenching endgame.”

The game is currently available on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift for $24.99 USD, and while a price-point for PS VR hasn't been divulged it's safe to assume it will cost the same.

The following overview of the game is provided via its Steam listing:

Blurring the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem, Superhot VR is the definitive VR FPS in which time moves only when you move. No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. It’s just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing the weapons of fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets.

Superhot VR now also includes the massive Superhot Forever update, bringing hours of new replayable challenges, achievements and hardcore endless levels to Superhot VR‘s time-bending gameplay, including:

  • Test your aim where only headshots take out enemies.

  • Race against your best scores in bullet-time and real-time.

  • Try to complete the game without shooting.

  • Get hardcore with faster enemies and less reaction time.

Personally, I think SUPERHOT VR is one of the best games available on any VR platform and a must-play for any PS VR owner, who at this point is likely pretty eager to play something new on the still young Sony platform.

It's important to note that the base, standard game of SUPERHOT still has yet to be announced for PS4.
