Supreme Ruler: Cold War Trailer Isn't As Cold As You Think

By Danl Haas

April 9, 2011

A new PC strategy title from what is quickly becoming one of my favorite PC publishers, Paradox Interactive, Supreme Ruler: Cold War will probably look almost alarmingly lo-fi to most gamers. As you’ll see in the trailer, the graphics are anything but cutting-edge. The interfaces look more like SimCity than StarCraft, but clearly, developer BattleGoat is targeting an audience for whom graphics are anything but a primary concern.

As you can probably imagine, this is not exactly a factual representation of the Cold War, and depending on how you play it, things can certainly heat up. You’ll see what I mean in the game’s first trailer, which is just after the jump. Hit that up.
