Yesterday's Gamescom Opening Night Live was chock full of new stuff for fans to sink their teeth into. One of those was a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Surgeon Simulator 2. As you might expect, it's full of hijinks. Unfortunately, they're all done by "influencers", so, depending on your sensibilities, you might want to watch it on mute. Regardless, give it a watch below if you haven't seen it already.

As you might have noticed, Surgeon Simulator 2 actually launched yesterday. So, the trailer above also serves as a launch trailer. If you've never seen or played Surgeon Simulator before, the game puts you in the shoes of a doctor at a local hospital. Using the games slightly wonky physics, you must perform operations to save patients.

For the second go-around, the team at Bosso has put in a new story mode, 4-player co-op, and a new creation mode. The 4-player co-op is probably the biggest addition, as it lets you perform very authentic surgeries with your friends online. That said, being able to design your own levels with the creation mode is an awesome touch. Plus, I can only imagine how ridiculous that story mode is going to be.

Surgeon Simulator 2 is out now on PC via the Epic Game Store. The original game eventually came to Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, and PS4. I haven't seen anything about the sequel coming to other platforms, but it only seems like a matter of time.
