Surgeon Simulator 2 is Revealed With a New Trailer, Coming in 2020
Bossa Studios revealed that Surgeon Simulator 2 will break your heart (literally) when it arrives on PC sometime next year.
Aside from its bevy of awards and nominations, The Game Awards is traditionally known as a night filled with surprising new reveals and announcements. The show’s fifth installment was certainly no disappoint with major reveals like the name of the next Xbox, Hellblade II, and more, alongside some smaller surprises like the reveal of Surgeon Simulator 2, a follow-up to the 2013 quirky surgery sim.
During The Game Awards 2019, a new trailer was released that revealed Surgeon Simulator 2 from developer Bossa Studios, featuring the trademark quirky (and bloody) humor that the series has been known for, and then some. The premise is pretty simple, based on the title, but the trailer gives a good indication that we’re up for some really amped-up surgery antics in the upcoming sequel.
While we don’t know a ton about the game just yet, the trailer did confirm that Surgeon Simulator 2 will be releasing sometime next year and that the game will be coming to PC on the Epic Games Stores, presumably as either an exclusive to the store entirely, or as a timed exclusive and coming to other PC platforms down the line.
Other than that, there isn’t a ton of new info to go off, with Bossa Studios explaining that “this electrifying sequel injects a delirious dose of adrenaline straight into the heart of the original, cranking everything up to a whole new level.” Given the absurd and darkly funny premise of the previous game, it’s safe to assume that Surgeon Simulator 2 will be a bloody good time when it arrives sometime next year.
Surgeon Simulator 2 is currently in development and planned to release in 2020. For a closer look at the game, you can check out the brand new trailer from The Game Awards below:
