Square Enix revealed on April 13 new details on Final Fantasy Remake Intergrade, finally revealing the English voice actor for Yuffie Kisaragi is Suzie Yeung - the full English and Japanese cast of Episode INTERmission, also fan nicknamed the Yuffie DLC, was revealed as well.

Who is Suzie Yeung ?

Suzie Yeung is a voice actress who primarily voices anime and game characters, and who is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.

Voicing characters since at least 2014, Suzie Yeung is known most notably for Yomi Takanashi / Dead Master in Black Rock Shooter, Sumi Sakurasawa in Rent-A-Girlfriend, the Macrophage appearing in Cells at Work Black, Aya in Oneechanbara Origins, Ping Hai and Langley in the Azur Lane anime, or Koito Nagase in Wonder Egg Priority.

Over on Twitter, Suzie Yeung mentioned how much of an honor it is to voice Yuffie, and she was particularly hyped about it. She had only voiced a few roles back when she auditioned, so it's heartwarming to see she had the opportunity to prove her skills.

Personally speaking, seeing I mainly play games in Japanese nowadays, I rarely listen to English dubs anymore. Even more so when I'm not even American. With that said, it's definitely inspiring to see the English cast is so passionate and talented.

While the voice acting industry in America could benefit from some of the methods of the seiyuu idustry, it's not often in the seiyuu industry that you get to see relatively new seiyuu get the opportunity to voice a character as big as Yuffie. Hopefully one da,y both industries will learn from each other and make things better for voice talents everywhere.
