White Owls, the studio helmed by Hidetaka Suehiro, announced that their next game, The Good Life, will be releasing for Xbox One as well.

The announcement was first made at the X018 event held in Mexico, on November 10th. It was announced one more time at a press seminar held by Microsoft Japan on November 20th. SWERY was present as well, sharing the latest developments on his game.

The Good Life will also be joining the list of games available with an Xbox Game Pass, which allows you to play over 100 games for 9.99$ a month. The games are specifically selected by Microsoft to ensure quality, meaning they have high hopes for The Good Life.

During the event, SWERY detailed how he and the game's art team went on a tour to rural parts of United Kingdom in September, after Tokyo Game Show 2018 ended. As The Good Life takes place in a rural part of UK, they visited many places, such as unknown villages, northern regions full of sheep and lakes, and famous touristic spots such as Stonehenge. They also hit many bars, and some of them even fell sick. SWERY also jokingly admitted they made a serious mistake: there's barely any cats in these parts of UK. Many people go by using bicycles, however, so the game's depiction of rural UK is still accurate.

While the trailer they showed was the one revealed back in May, new gameplay was also revealed, showing main character Naomi riding her bicycle. The game's current build looks even better than the one they previously showed, with the characters' movements and expressions being particularly well done. Some dog and cat transformation gameplay was also shown. When transformed, you can access parts inaccessible to humans, and if you're a cat, you can easily jump over high walls like how a real cat does. It seems jumps are handled automatically and you simply need to run toward a wall, just like in Zelda Ocarina of Time.

The Good Life will release in Fall 2019 for Xbox One, PC and PS4.
