White Owls Inc. launched the debut trailer for D4 Creator Hidetaka “SWERY65” Suehiro's newest game The Good Life, which will launch on the crowdfunding site FIG on September 2.

The trailer introduces an interesting cast of characters following the murder of a women. Evidently, someone in this seemingly harmless town is guilty of the crime, but figuring it out will be left up to the player.

However, this isn't the only mystery, as it's shown in the trailer that at night the entire town transforms into a cat and, to be honest, I'm not sure exactly why, but that's what makes this a mystery. Fans of Swery65's past work are only left to speculate how the creation direction fits within the game's premise.

Players assume the role of Naomi, who can also turn into a cat, as she is tasked with figuring out the mystery through clues left around town. The game opens up depending on whether the player is searching for clues as a human or a cat, the cat form is able to jump on rooftops and reach other places.

This will be the first game from Swery65's studio White Owls after opening the doors earlier this year. The creator has stated the game will inherit the spirit of Deadly Premonition while introducing a new style of gameplay.
