Capybara Games and Superbrothers have today finally revealed the much-anticipated release date for the Switch version of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP and it's closer than you might think.

Over seven years after originally releasing on iOS devices, Sword & Sworcery will arrive later this week on November 30 when it comes to Switch. This is the first time that the game has come to a console after previously only releasing on mobile and PC platforms.

For those unfamiliar with Sword & Sworcery, it is part adventure game, part visual album, composed by Jum Guthrie. You work your way through the game's world which sees you doing battle and solving various puzzles, all while listening to the game's stellar soundtrack, which is what much of the game caters too.

Capy also made headlines earlier this year when they revealed that the Twitter integration in Sword & Sworcery has also been removed for the Switch iteration due to the way in which the platform has fallen apart over the years. Sword & Sworcery's creative director said a few months ago that the company now wants "nothing to do" with the social media platform which led to them deleting its functionality for this version of the game.

To go along with today's release date announcement, Capy also released a strange video which you can find below. Sword & Sworcery will set you back $9.99 on Switch.
