Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment's Steam release has always been a bit of a mystery.

The game was offered as a pre-order bonus for the PC version of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, which prompted many to believe that it would become quickly available on its own, but it never did, until now.

During a livestream from Tokyo, Bandai Namco announced today that the game will finally get a standalone release on August 21st, 2018.

While Bandai Namco did not mention whether English will be supported in the Steam version, it's almost a given, considering that the localization has been done for several years.

The original Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment launched for PS Vita in 2014, followed by the improved version Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment on PS4. It'll be interesting to see if the PC release will give the game a second  (or third) wind.
