Sword of the Stars II: Enhanced Edition Attempts to Right Developers Wrongs

One year ago, Sword of the Stars II was released to the public buggy and unfinished, with barely a word of warning to the expectant masses. While Kerberos and Paradox apologized later, many fans were left in a state of rage or despair. Over the past year, they’ve slowly tried to fix things by getting the game working, bit by bit. Now however, they’re releasing the game’s first expansion, and calling the whole thing ready to go.

The End of Flesh expansion follows along the lines of the original Sword of the Stars scenario of the same name by introducing an AI race called the Loa. They’ve returned to the galaxy for revenge on their former masters. There’s also plenty of new content for the other races as well, including new research trees and ship parts. The original was made world better by expansions, we can only hope that follows suit for the sequel. The Enhanced Edition with numerous fixes releases November 30th, and End of Flesh will be added on for free for current owners when it’s ready.
