Microïds announced that the adventure game that began the Syberia series Syberia 1 is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 20, physical and digital.

The game follows main protagonist Kate Walker, a New York lawyer, as she is dispatched to deal with the sale of a former automaton factory in the French Alps. What was supposed to be an easy trip, quickly turns into an adventure that would change the young woman's life.

As she journeys through Eastern Europe with her colleague Oscar, they discover some incredible places filled with many thing to explore. They meet up with Hans Voralberg, a genius inventor, who has discovered mammoths on the island of Syberia, which just so happens to be a large piece of the the puzzle that will conclude Kate's mission.

Syberia originally launched in 2002 and spawned a series of titles leading up to the the third installment, Syberia 3, which was released in april 2017. The game is a puzzle adventure game where players must solve puzzles in order to progress. It's not mentioned if the game will utilize the Switch's touch screen, but the game uses point-and-click mechanics to select and use items.

Syberia is currently available on many platforms: PC, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and iOS/Android.
