While plenty of change has come to Pokemon GO over the last year, one of the biggest and most glaring omissions for fans has been Sylveon.

The Fairy-type Eeveelution has been hinted at and teased for a while now, and now many trainers are anxious to get the Pokemon in their Pokedex.

Thankfully, Niantic is currently feeling really generous and across both the Luminous Legends X and Luminous Legends Y events, it has released/is releasing a bunch of new Pokemon - Sylveon included.

Although the Luminous Legends Y event begins soon, and Sylveon is set to be released during this event, it won't launch on day one - so here is the Sylveon release date and time in Pokemon GO.

Why Isn't Sylveon Releasing at The Start of the Luminous Legends Y event?

Like the Luminous Legends X event, Luminous Legends Y has been split into two halves.

The first half sees a range of new Dark-type Pokemon in the wild, in eggs, in raids and more.

The second half, which is when Sylveon is set to debut, will be focused on Fairy-types and on the rewards from the Team GO Rocket Global Challenge which is currently taking place. That is where Sylveon fits in.

Other releases in the second half of the event include the incredibly Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon family.

So, When is Sylveon Coming to Pokemon GO and What is The Release Date?

As stated, Sylveon joins Pokemon GO during the second part of the Luminous Legends Y event - which switches the focus back onto Fairy-type Pokemon.

This section of the event kicks off on Tuesday, May 25 at 10 am Local Time. This is the time when Sylveon will become available to players across the globe.
