Following the moment, a bunch of Twitch streamers came to Symfuhny's support, including Myth himself. Myth said “This sounds bad - I can admit it, you can admit it, we can admit it. I have to tell you guys that Sym did not say the n-word. Even though we heard it, he didn’t say it." In his statement, Symfuhny says "I don't use the word. It's not in my vocabulary." He then goes on to condemn the use of the word.

Symfuhny ends the statement by saying: "Whatever you all decide about believing me, just know that I will continue to work hard to make sure that my stream (my dream job) is a place that welcomes everyone. I won't be perfect, but I'm going to keep doing my best to give you all my best. Gaming has changed my life, and one of the best parts about it is that it's a bunch of people from literally all over the world coming together and having a good time. I would never intentionally do anything to push someone away from that. Yesterday wasn't my best, but I'll try again tomorrow", before valiantly vowing to continue streaming. As of right now, he has not been banned from Twitch.
