We're still likely quite a ways out from the release of the upcoming System Shock 3, but to tide fans over today, OtherSide Entertainment released a new trailer showing off some actual gameplay from the long-awaited third entry in the series.

The latest video is only about a minute in length but it gives you an idea of what System Shock 3 will look like when it comes to gameplay. It seems reminiscent of the older games in the series, but obviously much prettier because, you know, it's 2019 now and games look a whole lot better than they used to. This footage is from the game's pre-alpha phase though, so it may not be completely reflective of what System Shock 3 will become once it's all said and done.

I think what stands out to me the most from this footage is how eerie the environments look. The System Shock series has always been somewhat creepy and that vibe looks like it'll absolutely be continuing here. We also get a brief look at Shodan near the end of the video as well along with a few various enemies that we'll seemingly come across. The footage all looks solid and hopefully the finished game will be reflective of such.

You can check out the new System Shock 3 trailer down below if you'd like. As of now, there's still not a lot of information that we have about the game, but we should learn more moving forward. A specific release window and platforms for System Shock 3 have yet to be announced as of this writing.
