How To Craft Weapons

Reborn has a few nasty difficulty spikes in the early game, and one of the best ways to ensure you stay ahead of the curve is to have the best purchased and crafted weapons and armor available to your party. Crafting opens up in Chapter 2, and as soon as you gain access to it, there are some great weapons with added benefits that you can obtain right away. To get started, you need to purchase Crafting Recipes from the Shop. You can also find Recipe drops later in the game from Story missions and Dungeons. Below, you'll find the best weapons from the first set of purchasable Recipe books you can find in-game to help you through the main story.

Craftable With Melee Weapons I and Ranged Weapons I

Tactics Ogre Reborn Craftable Weapons

Zweihander +1 & Voulge +1

For any Class that can wield Two-handed Swords or Spears, the Zweihander and Voulge are great additions. Not only do they have great attack power and allow the wielder to Counterattack, but they also inflict Breached, which is a condition that reduces the target's Physical Defense. This can be invaluable when trying to hurt tough units and bosses.

Shortbow +1

Many classes can wield one-hand Bows, and this shortbow upgrade is an extremely useful option. This bow can inflict the Stunned status on enemies, which can cause opponent actions to fail. This can be a lifesaver in many situations.

Cat Bagh Nakh +1

These kitty claws will give more than a nasty scratch. They can inflict Poison, which has been improved quite a bit in Reborn and can cause a lot of damage over time.

Dirk +1

This dagger has the ability to inflict Silence, which is an extremely powerful way to shut down enemy casters.

Caldia

This is a strange weapon that is usable by many classes. It is nominally a Hammer, but it has very low damage. What it does do is give good Spellcaster stat bonuses, and it lets the wielder Parry and cast Charm. This makes it a powerful option for casters and classes who do not need to do melee damage. It can be upgraded further into Iron Fan, which is a more conventional damage weapon and replaces the Charm effect with the ability to inflict Stun.

Craftable With Melee Weapons II and Ranged Weapons II

Tactics Ogre Reborn Craftable Weapons 2

Baldur Hammer +1

The Baldur range of weapons have a number of different benefits, including dealing more damage to different kinds of enemies such as Golems and Undead. The craftable Baldur Hammer has the additional ability to inflict Silence, which as mentioned earlier is great at shutting down enemy casters. With your powerhouse melee units wielding this hammer on the front line, you can terrorize enemy healers and mages.

Baldur Mace +1

Many of the spellcaster weapons increase the casting range of your spells. This weapon is the first to provide +2 range, which is a huge upgrade to the threat range and utility of your magic users.
