Take a Look at Splatoon's Single Player in this New Trailer

Nintendo looks to keep on a roll with their current excellent run of Wii U titles with Splatoon, a paint based mutliplayer shooter that lets players skid across the map as squids in the colors the shoot onto the surface. Today though, Nintendo has given us a new treat by showing off some of the games excellent looking single player.

The new trailer starts off showing us the multiplayer footage we previously saw during E3 this year, before static images lace in and eventually cut out the footage. We then see some large squid creatures, with a single tentacle making their body and flipping over their head like a bad emo haircut. It then transitions to show us paint based platforming with characters using it to avoid enemies and make paths through vibrant levels that would look more than home in a new Super Mario game.

The zany art style, the distinctive soundtrack and the charming character that the footage shows really pushes me over the top in my desire to put Splatoon on my short list of games I must have. You can checkout the full trailer below and let me know in the comment section what you think of this new tease at single player for Splatoon by Nintendo.
