On June 21, Atlus published on the Persona Japanese Twitter an excerpt of one of the new BGMs found in Persona 5 Royal.

This new BGM is titled "Take Over", and will play when Joker triggers a chance/ambush encounter by taking the enemy by surprise and removing their masks, as seen in the video. The original normal battle BGM, "Last Surprise", will play when an encounter is triggered normally.

This was revealed following a fan question sent to Morgana, which asked to hear a bit of the new BGMs.

As a side note, the gameplay video also reveals a graphical detail change in P5R. The characters now get an aura around them after a Baton Touch, with the aura changing in color and intensity the higher the Baton Touch count is.

Persona 5 Royal has around 20 new BGMs by Shoji Meguro, including new vocal songs with Lyn such as Take Over. That was officially confirmed by Persona 5 Royal's development team in a Famitsu interview we've previously covered.

The latest batch of Persona 5 Royal info was delivered through the second Morgana's Report stream. More info will be coming on June 25 during this month's SegaNama stream.

Persona 5 Royal is a PS4 exclusive. The game launches on October 31 in Japan and in 2020 in the west. A trailer for new party member Kasumi Yoshizawa was previously released. The English dubbed version of the first trailer was also revealed at E3 2019. The Joker DLC was also confirmed for the western version of Catherine Full Body.
