It has not been that long since Rockstar declared that their unused intellectual properties (as opposed to Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto) such as Bully and Red Dead Redemption would be seeing a return in some form. It seems that Bully may the be the first Rockstar Studios game to grace the upcoming next-generation consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The news comes from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which has registered an application for a patent, entitled “Bully,” submitted by Take-Two Interactive on July 25th, 2013. Neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive have released an official comment on the trademark filing or the future of the Bully franchise.

Bully was last released as the Scholarship Edition for the Xbox 360 and Wii on March 4th, 2008. The game was previously released for the PlayStation 2 and PC.
