Take-Two Files Trademark for “Ghost Story”

Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games and 2K Games has filed a new trademark application for something called “Ghost Story.”

Spotted by the good folk over at GameRant, the trademark was filed on October 6th with the United States Patent: Trademark Office. Further, it was filed in as five different trademark filings, encompassing video games, movies, and even clothing.

At the moment it’s hard to speculate whether Ghost Story is a new IP, connected to an existing property, a VR game, or even nothing more than a name for a potential project.

Rockstar did announce that it is working on a new IP, so this could be it. However, Take-Two also holds trademarks for “Judas” and “GTA TV” and nothing has surfaced about those, so it’s probably best to not look too much into this. And seeming Take-Two never comments on trademark filings, we may not know for awhile, if ever, what this is.
