Sony’s Eyepet PSP releases today for all the “classic” PSP styles (Sorry PSP Go. It’s probably nothing personal.) The Eyepet for PSP allows plays to nurture, customize, and play with their new virtual pet anywhere they want to go by using the bundled PSP camera and Magic Card. The game boasts hundreds of outfits, accessories and fur styles to customize your pet the way you choose. See that picture? That’s a Pirate Monkey-thing, and it’s adorable.

EyePet for PSP is perfect for kids and we are excited to add this handheld camera-based PSP game to our robust software library,” said Scott A Steinberg, Vice President, Product Marketing, SCEA. “EyePet truly demonstrates PlayStation®’s innovation in augmented reality gaming by the way players use the new camera to interact with their virtual pet in the real-world environment.”

In addition to the myriad of toys you’ll be able to unlock for your pet by playing the mini-games provided and exploring a variety of environments with your Magic Card, you’ll also be able to draw a large variety of objects and have it generated as a 3D toy for your little pal! Eyepet PSP is available to purchase today and contains everything you need in the box to start raising and loving your new little pal right away, and once again is not compatible with the PSP Go.
